A Peugeot BlueHDi AdBlue system has a tank with a level sender and heater, a pump that builds pressure, a line to the injector, and NOx sensors in the exhaust. The engine computer watches all of them. If one part misbehaves, the car may show an anti pollution message.
Peugeot wiring runs low under the car. Winter salt and spray can corrode plugs, causing odd readings and warnings that come and go.
AdBlue spilled during a top up dries into crystals. Overfilling can also upset the tank and sensors, which leads to errors soon after a refill.

Not always. Many faults come from a heater, sensor or plug, which we can repair or replace on their own. We only recommend a full tank unit when testing shows it is the cause.
A working SCR system helps the engine run as designed. You may notice smoother running if the fault has reduced power. Savings on fuel are usually small, but the car will no longer risk a start block.
