Land Rover AdBlue Repair in London & the Midlands, from £249

Land Rover AdBlue repair starts from £249. If your Defender, Discovery or Range Rover shows an exhaust fluid warning, we scan it, find the failed part and repair it on site. We repair level faults, pump faults, heater faults, injector blockages and sensor faults, and our mobile engineers cover London and the Midlands.

Land Rover diesels, including the Ingenium engines and the 3.0 V6, use a heated AdBlue tank, a pump, an injector and NOx sensors. When one part drifts or fails, the vehicle warns you and may later refuse to restart. We test each part, so you pay only for the repair that is needed.

Many Land Rover faults start underneath the vehicle. Mud, water and constant vibration are hard on connectors and lines. We check the underbody as part of every repair, because a new part is wasted if the real cause is a damaged plug.

Land Rover exhaust fluid warnings

Exhaust fluid level low

The tank needs a top up. If it returns soon after, the system may be leaking or misreading.

Exhaust fluid system fault

A part of the AdBlue system has failed a self check.

Restart limit warning

The vehicle shows how far you can go before it may not restart.

Emissions fault or reduced power

The engine protects itself while the fault is active.

Land Rover AdBlue fault codes

Land Rover codes vary by model and year, so we read live data and check the underbody before we quote.

Code Fault Usual cause What we do
P20EA Reductant pump or pressure fault Weak pump or restricted line Test pressure, clear or replace the line, replace the pump
P20CE Reductant delivery fault Blocked injector or air in the system Clean or replace the injector, purge the system
P2BA7 NOx exceedance, insufficient reductant Not enough AdBlue reaching the exhaust Check pump, line and injector, repair the weak link
P2BAE NOx exceedance, reductant quality related Poor or aged AdBlue, or a bad quality sensor Drain and refill, test the quality sensor
P2210 NOx sensor heater circuit Heater inside the sensor failed or plug corroded Test the circuit, repair the plug or replace the sensor

Areas we cover

Why drivers pick us

Built for tough vehicles

We know how off road and heavy use affect AdBlue systems.

Underbody inspection

Damaged plugs and lines are checked on every job.

Tests before parts

We prove the fault before we replace anything.

Clear quote

From £249 and agreed before work starts.

Towing and load aware

We consider how you use the vehicle, not just the code.

Plain English updates

You always know what we found and why.

A Land Rover AdBlue system stores fluid in a heated tank. A pump sends it through a line to an injector in the exhaust, and NOx sensors report the result. A quality sensor also checks the fluid. Any of these parts can set off a warning, so testing in order matters.

Mud, water and wading

Water and mud can get into plugs under the vehicle. Corrosion causes readings that jump around, which is why warnings sometimes appear after a wet or muddy trip.

Towing and heavy use

Towing, roof loads and long hauls keep the engine and exhaust under strain. Vibration and heat also wear connectors and lines faster.

Parts matched to your build

Chosen for your engine, model and year.

I used this company to sort out adblue issues with my Vauxhall Combo Life, I was fed up of keep getting warning lights and threats of engine not starting if I continued to drive the car. I contacted Bolt Remaps and they came to me the same day and fixed my problems for good. Unfortunately, due to an error on my part, I overpaid, however, once they became aware of it they refunded me immediately. Both of the staff I was involved with were extremely friendly and efficient and I thoroughly recomend the company to anyone that needs help with adblue problems or engine remaps :-)

Land Rover AdBlue Repair FAQs

How much does Land Rover AdBlue repair cost?

Land Rover AdBlue repair starts from £249. The final price depends on the fault, such as a sensor, pump, heater or connector. We scan and inspect first, then give you a price you can approve.

What does "exhaust fluid system fault" mean on a Land Rover?

It means the AdBlue system has failed a self check. The fault could be a sensor, pump, heater, injector or wiring. A scan and an underbody check show which one.

Can mud or water cause an AdBlue fault?

Yes. Mud and water can corrode plugs and wiring underneath the vehicle. This can create false readings or stop a part from working, so we clean, seal or replace the damaged connector.

Can towing or heavy loads trigger an AdBlue warning?

Not directly, but heavy use adds heat, vibration and strain. Over time this wears connectors, lines and sensors, which can then set a warning. We repair the weak part and explain what to watch.

Why does my Discovery show NOx related warnings?

NOx sensors measure the exhaust before and after the catalyst. If one drifts or its heater fails, the vehicle cannot confirm the system is working. We test both sensors and replace the one at fault.

How do I know if the tank, pump or sensor is the problem?

You cannot tell from the warning alone. We check codes, live readings and pressure, then inspect the parts. This avoids replacing an expensive tank when a plug or sensor is the real cause.

Is it safe to keep driving, including off road, with the warning on?

You can usually drive for a short time, but the restart limit keeps counting down. Avoid remote trips until it is repaired, because being stuck away from help is the biggest risk.

What is the exhaust fluid quality sensor?

It checks that the AdBlue in the tank is clean and the right strength. If the fluid is old or the sensor fails, the vehicle can set a quality fault. We test the fluid and the sensor.

Can I use any brand of AdBlue in my Land Rover?

Use AdBlue that meets the ISO 22241 standard. Poor quality or watered down fluid can cause faults and damage the injector. If you are unsure what went in, we can test and replace it.

Can the warning be cleared without a repair?

A reset can hide the message for a while, but it usually returns if the cause is still there. We repair the failing part first, then reset the system so the fix lasts.

Do you repair older models like the Freelander 2 and Discovery 4?

Yes, where the vehicle has an AdBlue system. Send us your registration and we will confirm whether it does and what repair it is likely to need.

Do you come to my vehicle?

Yes. Our engineers repair at your home, workplace or a safe roadside spot. Call us and we will confirm whether we can reach you and give a realistic arrival time.

Cannot see your Land Rover?

We repair most diesel Land Rovers with AdBlue systems. Send us your registration and we will give you a free quote.
